The Media Speaks Out on the Liberal Press

       In nearly 20 years at CBS News, Sharyl Attkisson, unloads on her colleagues in big-time TV news for their biased story lines and outright lies being represented as facts. The major network news decisions get made by a handful of New York execs who read the same papers and think the same thoughts.
      
      Often they dream up stories beforehand and turn the reporters into “casting agents,” told “we need to find someone who will say . . .” that a given policy is good or bad. “We’re asked to create a reality that fits their New York image of what they believe,” she writes in her book “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington” (Harper).


       She states that one of her bosses had a rule that conservative analysts must always be labeled conservatives, but liberal analysts were simply “analysts.” Given how obvious this bias is, the question is not whether liberals in the media tend to offer biased reporting. The question is why? Why can’t liberal news people report the news without any slant? For most liberal news reporters, therefore, the purpose of news reporting is not to report news as objectively as possible. The purpose of the media in general and of reporting specifically is to promote social justice and the social transformation of society. 

      Here are some of their thoughts and confessions:

       It is proof of the fact that the national media's primary objective is not to report the news, but to spin, distort and suppress the news in order to brainwash Americans into accepting socialism. I urge you to question more – and questioning more is the very last thing that the elites in the west want us to do. They want us to accept hook, line and sinker THEIR narrative of world events and we’re expected to accept these narratives and not to question them. Every day of our lives we are literally being drowned in lies. Lies by government. Lies by advertisers. Lies by the corporate media. Confessions of an Enlightened American

      A reader recently confessed, " I have spent most of my life as a Democrat. I recently have seen fit to follow another course. Socialism has taken over my party. They, the Progressives, differed in their assessment of the problems and how to resolve them, they generally shared in common the view that
government at every level must be actively involved in these reforms. The existing constitutional system was outdated and must be made into a dynamic, evolving instrument of social change, aided by scientific knowledge and the development of administrative bureaucracy. These party members wave the American flag but they are pushing a non-American vision. This is the issue of the next election is whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves."

     We were told  by the President, we must accept a greater government activity in the affairs of the people. One Senator referred to the President as "our moral teacher and our leader," and he says he is "hobbled in his task by the restrictions of power imposed on him by this antiquated document."(The Constitution) He must "be freed," so that he "can do for us" what he knows "is best."

       Another articulate Democratic spokesman, defines liberalism as "meeting the material needs of the masses through the full power of centralized government." "The full power of centralized government" was the very thing the Founding Fathers sought to minimize. They knew that governments don't control things. A government can't control the economy without controlling people. And they know when a government sets out to do that, it must use propaganda and coercion to achieve its purpose.

Others in the Democratic party have stated:
  • "The cold war will finally end through our acceptance of a democratic socialism."
  • "Capitalism has become outmoded. It must be replaced by the incentives of the welfare state."
  •  "Our traditional system of individual freedom is incapable of solving the complex problems of the 21st century."
  • The Constitution is outmoded.  
  •  "Natural inalienable rights and natural inalienable liberties exist only in the kingdom of mythological social zoology."
  • "The school of political theory, endorsed in the Revolution, has been discredited and repudiated.
     
       This is nothing new in this country, it is just accelerating.  Back in 1936, Mr. Democrat himself, Al Smith, the great American, came before the American people and charged that the leadership of his Democratic Party was taking the legacy of Jefferson, Jackson, and Cleveland down the road under the banners of Marx, Lenin, and Stalin. He walked away from his Party, and he never returned til the day he died -- because to this day, the leadership of that Party has been taking that Party, that honorable Party, down the road in the image of the Socialist Party.

      This country has proliferating bureaus with their thousands of regulations have cost us many of our constitutional safeguards. How many of us realize that today federal agents can invade a man's property without a warrant? They can impose a fine without a formal hearing or trial by jury? They can seize and sell his property at auction to enforce the payment of that fine? All in direct violation of your rights assigned to every citizen by the Constitution?  Such machinery already exists. The government can find some charge to bring against any concern it chooses to prosecute.Our natural, unalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government, and freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment in history.

What has America Become?

      Has America become the land of the special interest and home of the double standard? 

      Let's see;
  • If we lie to the Congress. it's a felony and if the Congress lies to us its just politics.
  • If we dislike a black person, we're racist but if a black dislikes whites, it's their lst Amendment right. 
  • The government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims. 
  • In public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process. 
  • You can kill an unborn child, but its wrong to execute a mass murderer. 
  • We don't burn books in America, we now rewrite them. 
  • We force children to march in "gay pride" parades under the guise of "education."
  • We supposedly rid the Communist and Socialist threat by renaming them Progressives.
  • We are unable to close our border with Mexico but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea. 
  • If you protest against President 0bama's policies you're a terrorist, but it you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy, it was your lst Amendment right.
  • You can have pornography on TV or the Internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas.
  • We have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people. 
  • A moment of silence in school is considered trying to force a religion.
  • We can use a human fetus for medical research, but it's wrong to use an animal. 
  • Home schooling your children to keep them from being indoctrinated into Leftist ideology is now considered "child abuse."
  • We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don't want to work. The land of opportunity ls now the land or hand outs.
  • We support the Constitution, but only when it supports our political ideology. 
  • We still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct. 
  • Parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games.
      Who is responsible for this change from selflessness to selfishness? Is there really much difference between the two political parties in the United States? The similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill is that neither president of either party did much of anything to help. And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who's at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises our taxes, tells us the problem is solved, so they can get back to their re-election campaign. Who is responsible -WE ARE.
  

                             What has become of the land of the free and home of the brave?

Is It Too Late for America?

      Our Constitutional Republic is dying a peaceful death. The United States of America no longer exists. Why? How? The answer is simple, tragic and outrageous: Government officials, elected and unelected, with precious exceptions, no longer preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Instead, they do whatever it takes to beat it, flout it, minimilize it, and ignore it. Worse, We, the People, let them. Having reached the point of no return in a comatose state after years of progressive and illegal immigration assaults, "refugee resettlement," and socialist government programs,  the fabric of society is now completely unraveled and Jefferson's America is no more.
      
       The United States of America is now relegated to the dust
bin of history as a “has been” empire. The Shining City on the Hill, the hope of so many millions since July 4, 1776, no longer exists  overwhelmed with a near-impotent citizenry, alien cultures, religions, languages and traditions.What rises from the ashes is a country that few of us will recognize, like, or learn to accept submissively.
       
      After 236 years of existence, a new country emerges today, run by secular progressives who rejected our Constitution, what we stand for, and who we are as a nation. The Supreme Court will be forever altered after its last conservative members will be replaced by the liberal academics who call themselves “progressives.” The rule of law is being implemented by Executive Orders, making Congress irrelevant
     
       The communist motto “Forward” that resonated with so many ignorant Americans will plunge us into many years of darkness from which we will never be able to recover. We have proven our Founding Fathers right, they did give us a Constitutional Republic and we were unable to maintain it.
      
      

The forces of the failed communist fundamental transformation that were driven underground in many places around the world, resurfaced with a vengeance in the United States and have now taken over. There are now avowed Socialists that have proudly been elected to office and they are only 1% of the Leftists and Socialist Democrats who admit who they really are.

      
       How long we will still have freedom of speech, movement, assembly, and control of our private property remains to be seen. Faith and churches will be driven underground; allowing secularism to prosper and take deep roots among the progressives whose God is Socialism. These along with their constituency of welfare dependent Americans, unions, and illegal aliens have chosen for the rest of us the dark path of serfdom to big government and to socialist utopia.
     
       Who would have guessed that the very people who were complaining that the government is not extricating them from disaster or giving them the help they needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, would vote for the very politicians who turned their backs on needy Americans after the lights went dark when the political photo opportunities ended?
     
       Who would have guessed that Americans were as ignorant and irresponsible as to choose fiscal destruction over fiscal sanity for their children and grandchildren, secularism and communism over faith, dependence over personal responsibility and self-reliance? We’ve watched helplessly as our jobs were shipped overseas and our standard of living was decimated. We’ve witnessed the rise of a financial elite who cannot be punished. And finally , the American public is starting to wake up to the fact that they live in the kind police state that previous generations warned them about.
    
        Americans have been protesting for the last four years the dismal state of the economy and the direction of our country, the corruption of our politicians, and the loss of personal and economic freedom yet Americans continue to chose liars and cheats to be their Senators and Representatives, rejecting those who protected the Constitution. 

     
      Americans chose high unemployment, endless wars, communist indoctrination of their children, and loss of personal freedoms unlike we have never seen before in this country.
Those buried in cemeteries around the world and at Arlington must be rolling in their graves today. We shamelessly allowed their sacrifice of blood and treasure to go in vain. Our government has been rotten to the core for decades, and we’ve been sending our kids to war for the benefit of the banking class and the military -industrial complex , since before those words were invented. It’s hard to say when it happened, but somewhere along the line we became a nation of mostly good people led by narcissistic psychopaths, and it’s been that way for longer than most folks think. The only difference is that we’re just now realizing it.


      We, at the American Constitutionalist, have fought hard over the last years to prevent our country's overt and accelerated destruction but the darker forces stronger than many of us have overcome concerted efforts by millions of Americans to maintain the Republic. Our declining national pride is not a good thing. It’s symptomatic of how far we’ve fallen. Mediocrity, sloth, godlessness, dependence, cowardice, using the law selectively or ignoring it, and hopeless corruption are defining this new country. Those of us who have justifiable reasons to lack pride in our nation are not a minority of extremists. We actually love America, or at least, what America was supposed to be. But we know that nation is very nearly gone, and has been replaced with something despicable. We simply see the truth, and that truth is finally spreading far and wide, but is it too late?

Freedom Act - Freedom Lost

      This story is extremely important, and serves as a great example of how difficult it can be to know what’s actually going on. I spend nearly 100% of my time trying to stay informed about the world around me, yet I’m constantly surprised by how little I know. For people who don’t have the time or energy to try to stay informed, forget about it. The media is generally worthless, and will more often than not mislead you. Let me just state that the Patriot Act is one of the most egregious pieces of legislation passed in U.S. history. The use of the word "patriot" is an insult to all constitutionalists. Enter the USA Freedom Act. Named once again to deflect scrutiny, after all, who doesn't like freedom? (The elected officials who have voted for this scam.) This legislation is a more fuzzy version of the unconstitutional Patriot Act. It is touted as a "fix" for all those who have had endure the criticism of the electorate. The truth is...........nothing much has changed.



       A look at the USA FREEDOM Act's details, as opposed to the press releases of its supporters, shows that the act leaves the government's mass surveillance powers virtually untouched.
The USA Freedom Act would: 

  • Resume the NSA data collection program, but only for a transition period of six months. After that, the legislation would no longer allow the NSA to sweep up Americans' records in bulk. Instead, it would leave the records with phone companies and give the government the ability to seek access with a warrant.
    (They would STILL be spying on Americans)
  • Continue other post-9/11 surveillance provisions that also lapsed Sunday night. These include the FBI's authority to gather business records in terrorism and espionage investigations and to more easily eavesdrop on suspects who are discarding cellphones to avoid surveillance. 
  • Create a panel to provide the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court with guidance on privacy and civil liberties matters. 
  • Increase transparency for the surveillance court's decisions.

      The bill would not abridge NSA collection of Americans’ international communications, nor prevent the NSA or the FBI from warrantlessly
searching through its troves of them for Americans’ identifying information, a constitutional violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees the right to privacy in our “persons, houses, papers and effects.” That includes everything held by the custodians of our records.. The recently disclosed bulk domestic phone records collection dragnet by the Drug Enforcement Agency would also be untouched. 
     
    In a little-noted speech at Washington and Lee Law School, Gen. Michael Hayden, the former director of both the CIA and the NSA, in a remarkable public confession, he revealed that somehow he received from some source he did not name the authority to reinterpret the Fourth Amendment’s protection of privacy so as to obliterate it. He argued that the line between privacy and unbridled government surveillance is a flexible and movable one, and that he -- as the head of the NSA -- could move it.

      This is not only chilling to all true Americans but given the fact that the FBI has stated that they can’t point to any major terrorism cases they’ve cracked thanks to the key snooping powers in the Patriot Act then  there is definitely more to this legislation than meets the eye. Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz said that between 2004 and 2009, the FBI tripled its use of bulk collection under Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which allows government agents to compel businesses to turn over records and documents, and increasingly scooped up records of Americans who had no ties to official terrorism investigations.



      The USA Freedom Act has about as much to do with freedom as the
Patriot Act had to do with patriotism. If Congress truly wanted to protect our liberties it would pass the Surveillance State Repeal Act, which repeals the PATRIOT Act. Fourteen years after the PATRIOT Act was rushed into law, it is clear that sacrificing liberty does little or nothing to preserve security. Instead of trying to fool the American people with phony reforms, Congress should repeal all laws that violate the Fourth Amendment, starting with the PATRIOT Act.
