Is Our American Heritage Worth Fighting For?

      What exactly is America's heritage and what makes it worth preserving? I think it is summarized most clearly and beautifully in the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that
all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."  Equality . . . Liberty . . . we hear these words a lot, even today, but do you think it means the same things as America's founders did? Due to ignorance of American history - our heritage - many of our elected leaders can use the words of America's founders to violate liberty rather than to protect it and in the process have created an ever-expanding government bureaucracy dominating the lives of American citizens.

      The Socialist crowd taking charge of our nations education system was by design. The 'molding" of America's youth in their own image is the top priority. The less our youth knows about the Constitution the easier it is for "change" to occur. Today, most young people cannot distinguish the First Amendment from the Fourth Amendment -- and do not
worry that they cannot. Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln are mere names of grammar schools but otherwise unidentifiable to most. The failure of our educational system to enlighten new minds with the ideals that drove our forefathers is what they fail to teach and what they do teach, or rather indoctrinate, and the graduates they send out into the world, incapable of seriously weighing alternatives for themselves or for American society. 

       In a recent speech at Boise State, former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said: "Less than one-third of eighth-graders can identify the historical purpose of the Declaration of Independence, and it's right there in the name. ... The more I read and the more I listen, the more apparent it is that our society suffers from an alarming degree of public ignorance." These ill-informed voters are more susceptible to emotional arguments. They are more likely to believe that the prosperous become so only at someone else's expense and not their own hard work Almost half of America receives some sort of public assistance, and another half pays no federal income tax. About one-seventh of Americans are on food stamps. This is NOT our American heritage.

     We are not unlike Rome. They were the greatest empire the world had ever seen but by A.D. 200, the Roman Republic was a distant memory. Few citizens of the global Roman Empire even knew of their illustrious ancestors like Scipio or Cicero. The language was Latin but it became almost unrecognizable after time. Yet Rome endured as a global power for three more centuries. What held it together? A stubborn common popular culture and a false prosperity kept things going. Rome quieted the people with public spectacles and still affordable prices, so too Americans of all classes keep glued to favorite video games and reality-TV shows. 

      In 2015 America, as in Rome, there is a vast disconnect between elites and the people. Few
Americans seem to worry that our present leaders have lied to or misled the Congress and the American people without consequences. They divide us. Officially, America celebrates diversity; privately, America is fragmenting into racial, political and ideological camps. America is now many different little Americas. It is white America and black America. It is male and female, or at least feminized  America. It is Latino, gay, vegetarian -- you name it, they've got a label for you. Like Rome, America apparently can coast for a long time on the fumes of its wonderful political heritage and economic dynamism -- even if both are little understood or appreciated by most who still benefit from them. When the coasting stops - then what?

A Modern Novel

       A modern novel: After Mexico fell and broke up into twelve independent states, the Soviet Union began to befriend these newly formed countries. Little by little, beginning in the south, they struck up military deals with these countries. One at a time, always moving to the north, these countries began to allow nuclear missiles to be placed on their territory......... for defense. The talking points to calm the Americans were that those pesky Canadians had nukes too and couldn't be trusted so these were also for their protection and they would never be pointed at the US. After time the Soviets had bases in Baja and the United States was getting nervous. Missiles were at their southwestern border. The independent country, right next to Texas where many English speaking peoples lived and were friendly to the US, was overthrown under suspicious circumstances. This new government would allow the Soviets to set up bases there. In a not unexpected move, the US began to supply arms to these English speaking groups so that they could break away and for their own country where Spanish would not be the primary language and they would continue to be allies.

      Sound familiar?  This is Geopolitics 101: great powers are always sensitive to potential threats near their home territory. the United States does not tolerate distant great powers deploying military forces anywhere in the Western Hemisphere, much less on its borders. Imagine the outrage in Washington if China built an impressive military alliance and tried to include Canada and Mexico in it. So why does the western press make the situation in Ukraine seem any different? Putin’s actions should be easy to comprehend.  Eastern Europe and especially Ukraine are a  huge expanse of flat land that Napoleonic France, imperial Germany, and Nazi Germany all crossed to strike at Russia. Ukraine serves as a buffer state of enormous strategic importance to Russia. No Russian leader would tolerate a military alliance that was Moscow’s mortal enemy until recently moving into Ukraine. Nor would any Russian leader stand idly by while the West helped install a government there that was determined to integrate Ukraine into the West. Washington may not like Moscow’s position, but it should understand the logic behind it.

      Logic, however, is not in play here. Those of you who know the truth know that the same conspirators that are driving the crisis there, are the same ones who are taking control of American society through the media in all it's forms. The Bilderburger group, and such leaders as George Soros are the driving force in unrest in the world today. Propaganda, much of it financed by American dollars is writing history in the way they want - for profit. A report out this month has stated that the top 1% of the world owns more than 50% of the wealth and that figure is growing. Armaments for war makes huge profits and countries will readily distribute their nations treasures to defend or conquer and these are the men who get rich on death.


       Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has given a chilling assessment of a new geopolitical situation taking shape amid the Ukrainian crisis, warning of a possible new Cold War and calling the West’s approach to the crisis a “fatal mistake.” Attempting to grant Ukraine NATO membership could put Russia and the West on a collision course for war. A war that Europe would bear the brunt of which is why many European countries are balking at further instigating more retaliatory measures. The US is arm-twisting it's allies, hard, to get some return for its costly investment in a half-failed scheme to destabilize Ukraine. With each move that Russia makes the military-industrial complex, that controls Washington's policies continues tp play that old "look out for the commies" theme, just tarted up a bit so it doesn't seem laughably out of date. No matter that Russia is no longer a Communist country and would like nothing more than to be accepted in the West, because there is no profit in that. No, the anti-Russian theme will now be increasingly seen in American television and movies in 2015, for as long as it takes to dupe the public.......again.

Like a Worm in an Apple

      A friend of mine came up to me the other day full of excitement proclaiming "We've got our country back, they've sworn in the new Congress and now the Republicans are in control." My friend is naive. It would be a great victory if it were that easy. What the election has done is removed some of the power that the Democratic party had and slowed down the idea first expounded by President Woodrow Wilson, the first progressive to openly claim that the Constitution of the United States was outdated, and that courts should erode the limits that the Constitution placed on the federal government. It has given that power over to the Republican side, a disjointed hodgepodge of Constitutionalists, Conservatives of the party past, and the Corporate Socialists, who have a strong hold on this party just as they have control over the other.

      The next two years in United States politics will be struggle between the remainder of the "true" Americans, who still value what the Founding Fathers established and two slightly different versions of Corporate Socialism. On one side we have the Republicans whose"war for capital gain" profiteers will be running full tilt to get the country involved in our next war. The other side the Democrats and their leader, backed by the George Soros group, intent on shrinking the middle class out of existence. These are the ones who are the"core" of the government today. These are the ones who are currently, like a worm in an apple, eating away at the Constitution and our liberties from within. The violations of our Constitution and our laws have run rampant under the Democrats and, as we start this new term of Congress, nothing, absolutely nothing is being done about any of it.

      Earlier this year, 47 inspectors general — the officials charged with fighting corruption, and wrongdoing in federal agencies, sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee complaining that organizations ranging from the EPA to the Justice Department were impeding their investigations by withholding information. Federal law specifically forbids withholding that information. Those 47 inspectors general comprise more than half of all such officials, and many who signed the letter were appointed by President Barack Obama. Their complaint is that the federal agencies have been thwarting them, withholding documents, and obstruction investigations. One example of the consequences of these actions is the story of alleged criminal Lois Lerner, who is enjoying a six-figure pension at the expense of the very taxpayers against whom she conducted a corrupt political attack. This complacent administration has no interest in any investigation into these charges, not when it knows that IRS agents were misusing public resources to campaign for Barack Obama. It would call back into the public spotlight the idea that we have an illegal president.
                                                                                                                                              

      How will our Republic survive such criminal corruption that is ignored by the Soros controlled media? Lois Lerner's protection by this administration and the Democratic party is nothing short of appalling. Some Republicans tried to get a special prosecutor for the investigation, but we have a non-existent Department of Justice who only moves when it has an opportunity to promote Democratic Socialism or in an attempt to change the accepted American values towards a more European style of Socialistic government. The agents of  the IRS committed the cardinal sin of democratic governance: They used the power of the state to persecute citizens because of their political beliefs. Using government power as a means to greater political power is without debate, corruption. The terrifying truth is that this is not a matter of a few bad apples. This is a rotting of the core of what made, the once proud, United States of America, great.

The United States Wants War

      The United States last "officially" went to war  in December of 1941. We have remained in a perpetual state of war ever since. The military industrial complex, seeing the massive profits they had made in WWI and were making after the rise of the Axis, began to creep into the political arena to be able to drive foreign policy towards more conflicts. Since then they have set the stage for the terrorism and instability we witness in the world today. This was by design and President Eisenhower, in his 1961 farewell address, tried to warn us about it. He stated, "The conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society."

      Well that structure has changed immensely.  He continued, "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together"
                                                                                                                                             

      At this point in history it was too late. The machine had already been created to have us involved in a perpetual war against ideology's that cannot be defeated with bombs or bullets.  A new, young President had been elected. He was someone who was an outsider to the clandestine powers that be. He did not agree with what he found and believed that it was a danger to our society. He tried to curtail this tide as it began to take control of our government but was unsuccessful. He then decided to take it to the American people, to "blow the lid off" this conspiracy, but he was silenced.



       As time went forward we began to see that in the US everything must be a "war". A war against terror, a war against drugs, against immigrants,  and whistle-blowers, etc, etc. We need enemies. Without a constant supply of them our defense contractors like Honeywell and Dyncorp would have to lay off workers which would hurt the economy and American “resolve” would remain untested.  Let’s just look at the conflicts the United States has been in just since 1980: Iran (1980, 1987-88), Libya (1981, 1986, 1989, 2011), Lebanon (1983), Kuwait (1991), Iraq (1991-2011, 2014-), Somalia (1992-93, 2007-), Bosnia (1995), Saudi Arabia (1991, 1996), Afghanistan (1998, 2001-), Sudan (1998), Kosovo (1999), Yemen (2000, 2002-), Pakistan (2004-) and now Syria. Let us not forget our perpetual "War on Terror"

      They will never be interested in addressing the root cause of terror, because without terror there is no perpetual war to fight, and no profit to be generated. Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during the Reagan administration, has said,  "The purpose of these wars is to provide a reason for the trillion dollar annual budget of the military security complex. It is very difficult to have such massive expenditure without a cause, without a reason. So restoring the war in the Middle East is the reason.  Now, I think Washington had hoped to replace the Middle East in wars with a new Cold War with Russia. But Vladimir Putin said he was not going to participate," even though the US continues to try to provoke him.

   
    It continues around the world, America's war for profit policy. As we withdraw from Afghanistan outgoing President Hamid Karzai has stated, "We don't have peace because the Americans didn't want peace." The continuation of wars, the seeding of mistrust in volatile areas, or the CIA instigating unrest in Europe and every continent around the globe is Washington's way of justifying the massive military security budget. They have come up with a way of keeping the American public afraid so they will accept the police state at home. 

      In this new year Americans will be deluged with a large amount of anti-Russian propaganda. It has already started. You see across the media in movies, television shows, and print that Russia is our "mortal enemy" They will say that the cold war is back and it's all Russia's fault. This is the big lie that has been perpetuated for decades. It gives the powers that be the excuse for more weapons, more deficits, more fear, and less liberty.
