About Us

Are you ready for the truth? The REAL truth of who is REALLY running this country and the world. You may be shocked or shake your head in disbelief, but the truth is that everything you have learned or been told in your lifetime has been slanted or distorted to fit an agenda. It's the way they keep the populace under control. You have been programed to believe the lies. It's hard not to when the lies and half-truths are bombarding our brains daily. Do you want to continue to be controlled or are you ready to think for yourselves? We must restore a reverence for the principles of liberty underlying the U.S. Constitution in the minds of enough Americans to tip our country back toward limited constitutional government. Those who understand the importance of the Constitution to liberty will defend it. Those who don’t, won’t. - Editor: M. Richard Maxson - Contributors: George Sontag, Zeno Potas, and Phillip Todd.

The American Propaganda Machine

by

       M. Richard Maxson

It is getting more difficult for me to watch the mainstream media news coverage without screaming"liar" into my television set every few minutes. There is so little of the whole truth being broadcast to our citizens it is frightening. There was a time when it wasn't so but that was when there was plenty of competition and control over the media was not so tight. Twenty years ago, thirty corporations controlled 90 percent of US media. Today, it is a grand total of six mega-corporations or four according to Dan Rather who claims that "big business is in bed with big government." This is how our country has morphed into the Capitalistic Socialistic form of government that we have today.

Mr Rather, in an interview with Tom Green, was asked if he thought the American people are aware of
the collusion between the government and the networks?  He replied, "No, they don't realize that four to six big conglomerates own ALL the networks and control 80% or more of ALL news in the United States." He went on, "Big corporations give a lot of money to legislators to influence votes. They work together." The FCC changed the rules in the 1980's with deregulation and according to Rather. "Before that the networks had to meet certain requirements and broadcast what was in the public's interest. You had to give both sides a fair chance to speak but today the peoples airwaves are gone."

You don't hear much international news any more from the major US outlets unless it is cold war rhetoric or other news that will sway the gullible citizens opinion to match that of their corporate masters. "The amount on international news the public sees is far less than in the past 50 to 75 years and the quality is the lowest of all," Rather stated. "It is much more difficult to get to the truth due to the volume of false information out there."

"International and investigative news requires deep digging and it is the most expensive to fund that is one reason it is easier to show celebrity news than to go after a real story and report the true facts." So long as the information and opinions that reach the public are selected by mainstream media people, whom polls show to be overwhelmingly on the left, the left's view of the world prevails. "If you want the truth," Rather stated," you need to read more than one newspaper, watch more than one network, and read international news on another country's website. Only then can you have enough information to make a rational decision on what the reality of the situation is."  What happened to the watchdog media?  Will we ever get our nations media back to fair and balanced reporting on important issues? As Dan said, "You have a better chance of the Queen of Sheba riding through here on a hippo before we ever see that again."

Ukraine- Another CIA Coup

by

       Phillip Todd

The President of the Russian Federation has been trying to stop an all out war for the Ukraine but the United States seem to have other ideas. What straw started this is when the now-deposed Ukrainian leader having no desire to sell his proud nation down the river to the Western Corporate/Socialists. He understood that the harsh austerity measures demanded by the EU-IMF-NATO triumvirate would have served as a final death blow to the Ukrainian people, already suffering from many years of high unemployment and a withering economy. Yanukovich decided instead to accept a no-strings-attached loan of $15 billion from neighboring
Russia - interest-free! When Ukraine rejected a treaty with the West in favor of one with Russia is when the Corporate/Socialists had enough. The riots in Kiev and other cities were instigated by no one other than our own CIA. Since the fall of the elected government the head of the CIA has been stationed in the capital city to oversee this coup. Why else is he there?

What other conclusion should Russian strategists draw from these events, especially as NATO continues its mechanized march toward Russia’s border, and despite pledges made to Moscow following the collapse of the Soviet Union that the military bloc would not “move an inch” beyond Germany? It is no secret that the United States has been angling for a strategic advantage in Eastern Europe since the end of World War II, with special attention focused on strategically important Ukraine, which could serve as a future bridgehead into Central Asia and beyond.  The industrialist elite, that have profited immensely under Democratic rule in the US, want Ukraine and it's resources now. It is essential for their world-wide agenda. The Russians feel threatened, and they ought to be. Disregarding the outright threats that the US issues daily, this is a big prize for the Socialist elite. That is why they have sent in John McCain, John Kerry, Joe Biden, and others(the CIA chief) to rally support for this unelected government.

Vladimir Putin has continuously called for meetings at the UN to try to put an end to this situation only to be met by opposition from the US. Putin suggested  that Ukraine begin focusing on a new constitution that “involves all political forces in the country, creating a federalized state and guaranteeing Ukraine's non-aligned status.” His idea of a democratically elected government has been met with "Nyet" from the United States who continues to spew it's "my way or the highway" demogogery.

After all, one nation’s crisis is another corporation’s windfall. Indeed, developments in Ukraine certainly spell big bucks for America’s bloated defense industry, which has used the Ukraine crisis in general, and the Crimean “annexation” in particular, to warn Capitol Hill of Russia’s “return to imperialism.” Never mind that Russia has not violated the territorial integrity of a single foreign country - without being attacked first, as was the case with Georgia - since the collapse of the Soviet Union. “Everybody in the Pentagon and in the defense industry is using the Ukraine crisis as a warning for why the department needs to spend more on military technology,” Loren Thompson, chief operating officer for the Lexington Institute, told AP. To understand the full picture, it is only necessary to consider the corporate circus that US Congress has become, in which the “people’s representatives” now take their marching orders from boardrooms across corporate America. Money, money, money, just follow the money and the truth shall be clearly seen.

A Real Reporter's Voice Silenced

by

       George Sontag

Everyone knows that most members of the mainstream news media are liberals; however, even staunch
left wingers should have enough integrity to fulfill their responsibilities to the public. That would be the case if we lived in an America where there  truly was a free press, but we don't. There is no such thing as journalistic independence any more in this country.Whistle blowers are routinely harrassed and prosecuted. Reporters who are trying to get to the truth are marginalized.

Recent case in point, former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson who  opened up on Sunday about her recent resignation from the network and the "unprecedented" restrictions that journalists face under this government's administration. After a 20-year career with the network, she felt that she could no longer stay with the news organization and keep her integrity intact. Her investigative reporting and questioning gained a great deal of attention for this reporter in the last few years for her coverage of Benghazi, Obamacare, and government obstruction, but it ran afoul of the government's "official" story. She said, in an interview, that she struggled to get her stories on the air, and that the problem is "part of a broader trend" happening in journalism today.

"There's come to be a narrowing universe of stories that are desired by the broadcasts. There's just a tendency to avoid certain controversies." Attkisson said that she's not the only reporter who feels there's declining interest in investigative reporting. Journalists at CBS News and other outlets are sometimes "not happy" with the kind of work they are being told to do. "When a broadcast doesn't want a story, they don't really say those things to you," she said. "They simply don't air the story."

We here at the American Constitutionalist have been reporting for years on this country's Corporate-Socialist propaganda. They have an agenda and we will continue to report to you until they come to take us down. We are patriots, are you?

A Dubious Award

by

       George Sontag

On Wednesday this week, the Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression announced that the Obama administration had won the Jefferson Muzzle award for restricting free press. This is an award handed out every April since 1992 “as a means to draw national attention to abridgments of free speech and press and, at the same time, foster an appreciation for those tenets of the First Amendment.” The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression announced that the US Justice Dept. had topped this years list. The White House Press Office was listed in the second slot among this year’s “winners,” trailed immediately by a third-place tie between the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

It isn’t unusual for the free-speech loving organization named in honor of the third president of the US to condemn federal agencies for infringing on the constitutional rights of American citizens, but the Obama administration swept this year’s honors, undoubtedly lending further credence to allegations that the White House has ravaged First Amendment-protected freedoms by interfering and attempting to influence even the most venerable mainstream press outlets in the country.

The organization said that, "when the government hasn’t been hounding journalists for speaking to sources, it’s been influencing the way the world sees its news to a certain degree." Another group agrees, Reporters Without Borders’ annual Freedom Index report ranked the United States 46th in the world regarding freedom of information. David Cuillier, the president of the Society of Professional Journalists, stated that he agreed with the report’s findings and believes the journalism climate in the United States continues to get worse.

A plan by the Federal Communications Commission to study how news organizations select stories has prompted plenty of public opposition. “This is an extremely troubling and dangerous development that represents the latest in an ongoing assault on the Constitution by the Obama administration,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the ACLJ. “Now we see the heavy hand of the Obama administration poised to interfere with the First Amendment rights of journalists,” Sekulow said. “It’s clear that the Obama administration is only interested in utilizing intimidation tactics – at the expense of Americans and the Constitution. The federal government has no place attempting to control the media, using the unconstitutional actions of repressive regimes to squelch free speech.”

The writers of a new book "Imagine: Living in a Socialist USA" want a socialist America, one that would have "a democratic media" controlled by those who can "influence mass culture." So far, we have a media controlled by the government, labor unions and other left-leaning special interest groups that are miraculously(sic) entirely free of bias. However, the biggest difference between the media today and the media under a socialist system will be “what gets covered,”according to the authors. Politicians always have lied, to be sure. But the media was there to, if not serve as an impartial referee, at least hold the players to some sort of standard. No more.
