A friend of mine came up to me the other day full of excitement proclaiming "We've got our country back, they've sworn in the new Congress and now the Republicans are in control." My friend is naive. It would be a great victory if it were that easy. What the election has done is removed some of the power that the Democratic party had and slowed down the idea first expounded by President Woodrow Wilson, the first progressive to openly claim that the Constitution of the United States was outdated, and that courts should erode the limits that the Constitution placed on the federal government. It has given that power over to the Republican side, a disjointed hodgepodge of Constitutionalists, Conservatives of the party past, and the Corporate Socialists, who have a strong hold on this party just as they have control over the other.

Earlier this year, 47 inspectors general — the officials charged with fighting corruption, and wrongdoing in federal agencies, sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee complaining that organizations ranging from the EPA to the Justice Department were impeding their investigations by withholding information. Federal law specifically forbids withholding that information. Those 47 inspectors general comprise more than half of all such officials, and many who signed the letter were appointed by President Barack Obama. Their complaint is that the federal agencies have been thwarting them, withholding documents, and obstruction investigations. One example of the consequences of these actions is the story of alleged criminal Lois Lerner, who is enjoying a six-figure pension at the expense of the very taxpayers against whom she conducted a corrupt political attack. This complacent administration has no interest in any investigation into these charges, not when it knows that IRS agents were misusing public resources to campaign for Barack Obama. It would call back into the public spotlight the idea that we have an illegal president.
How will our Republic survive such criminal corruption that is ignored by the Soros controlled media? Lois Lerner's protection by this administration and the Democratic party is nothing short of appalling. Some Republicans tried to get a special prosecutor for the investigation, but we have a non-existent Department of Justice who only moves when it has an opportunity to promote Democratic Socialism or in an attempt to change the accepted American values towards a more European style of Socialistic government. The agents of the IRS committed the cardinal sin of democratic governance: They used the power of the state to persecute citizens because of their political beliefs. Using government power as a means to greater political power is without debate, corruption. The terrifying truth is that this is not a matter of a few bad apples. This is a rotting of the core of what made, the once proud, United States of America, great.
